Saying Goodbye:
I learned on Monday that my cousin Kerry Strauss has died, with his memorial service being Friday in Provo. At one time, my parents were approached about adopting him. We were raised together when we were just toddlers. He was an amazing father, pianist and composer. Thank you, Kristi, for going to the service to represent me.

Myron Sorensen, Nancy's husband, died Sunday night after being incapacitated for some time with Alzheimer's disease. I remember the day Nancy married him, how fun he was with his children, and how he babysat his grandchildren with delight. He and Mac enjoyed visiting about church history and the latest books Myron had read and recommended. I will miss both of these men who have influenced my life. Mourning is a real thing.
Tuesday back in the temple, after talking with my aunt Gloria about Kerry's death. It's oddly comforting to be surrounded by loving people and folding socks in the roperia. It's a good feeling to rent clothing to people so they can do ordinance work. It's peaceful to play the organ for awhile. My prayers are for Kerry's family, mother and siblings. They are also for Myron's family. And they're for myself.
